I have still been consumed with my apartment search. I am looking in the West Village. It's like looking for a needle in a haystack.
I am in the Apple store on the Upper West Side right now. I have a problem with my iMac at home. I have had the computer about 3 months. It's a very large computer. I was hoping they could just tell me what to do. Nope. I have to lug the gigantic, huge, massive computer into the store for them to figure out what is wrong. Not to mention I am here with my friend who spent 6 hours getting the latest iPhone and dealing with issues to get it up and running. Now she is here with me because she can't get her email to work. Answer from the staff: "devices can be defective. It does happen." Really? How does this company have this reputation? How do they have a jam packed store every time I walk in? How is the store on the east side open 24 hours a day?????
Technology is supposed to help us. Often, it gives me a big fat headache. I just had the stomach to hook up a printer that has been sitting on my desk for 2 months. The first printer was defective. Yep. I bought it from the Apple store. It took me hours to trouble shoot. Only to lug it back to this store. Get a new one. I was too gun shy to hook up the new one. I finally did it a few days ago.
The only saving grace is that while I wait for my friend, I could get on the internet and post to my blog.
