Floss if you want to keep 'em. I saw this as a subtitle on some woman's blog the other day. I didn't read the blog, but I thought this was an amusing phrase. Since out of work, one of the things I have been doing is getting tuned up. Going to the doctor and dentist for all the things I neglected while on the job.
I have been to the doctor and dentist more times than I can recall in the past two and half months. Today I had to go to the dentist for an emergency appointment. It is a good thing I got insurance after I left my job.
But let me tell you, it is not a pretty picture. No siree. Expensive as all get out, this insurance. What a big chunk of monthly outgoing cash. A very frightening scenario not to have it. Yet an an impossibility for some to have. A terrible situation.
I will keep flossing. The very strange thing is I had a toothache for a few months for which I thought I was going to have to have a root canal (I have been avoiding this like the plague). It has miraculously diminished in pain today. Maybe paying homage to the dental profession has given me a reprieve. . .
